My Work

As a Copywriter at Wimbledon, I work with the Creative, Marketing and Communications teams to produce high quality copy that fits the needs of the different projects for the wider business - this ranges from push notifications to Wimbledon Today emails, retail product descriptions for our website, retail emails, programme articles, copy for packaging, adverts and website pages.

I help brainstorm ideas and concepts with other members of the creative team and develop these ideas all the way through to delivery including the Wimbledon Public Ballot, OOH and Wimbledon Park Project campaigns.

I'm also responsible for ensuring that creative service delivery is of the highest quality and act as a brand guardian, ensuring the correct tone of voice is used for Wimbledon across all communications.

I edit and proofread my own work and that of others including newsletters, emails, handbooks, scripts, programme articles for The Championships and website copy; making sure complicated ideas are condensed into short, comprehensible copy.

I help provide integrated creative output across a wide variety of touchpoints such as advertising, social media, email, website, publications, press releases, presentations etc.

I also present and sell ideas to key stakeholders across the business, managing their expectations and ensuring that they are kept up to date through active communication.

I ensure I stay on track with emerging trends in the sports, creative and digital space, engaging with the wider communities and sharing learnings with the team, raising the profile and importance of the in-house Creative Team across the organisation.
